B&B “La Dimora delle Rondini” (literally, “The Swallows’ Dwelling”) is named after a flock of swallows that visits every year in springtime to nest inside the openings in the building’s façade, below the cornice overlooking the terrace; they make a spectacular sight as they swoop and swirl gracefully in the air.
The B&B is housed in a prestigious eighteenth-century mansion which has been carefully renovated. It is located in the heart of Galatina, close to the town’s main squares and places of interest, and just minutes from the train station.
The main entrance to the B&B is situated on the historic Corso Re d’Italia; guests enter through a majestic doorway, and are greeted by two reception areas. A splendid staircase leads up to the four bedrooms, which are separated by two living rooms; on the same floor is the fantastic breakfast room, where the focal point is a stunning fireplace in Lecce stone, and the owner’s apartment. The property is also the ideal location for organising special events.

Every room features high ceilings with groin vaults and original antique chandeliers that give a touch of elegance: their crystal drops and pendants are faceted and cut in such a way that they reflect and refract the light beautifully. Walls and ceilings are painted in different shades and colour gradients, for relaxing chromatic effects.
